Ruth Ebenstein is an award-winning American-Israeli writer, public speaker and peace/health activist who loves to laugh a lot. She is completing her memoir, Bosom Buddies: How Breast Cancer Fostered an Unexpected Friendship Across the Israeli-Palestinian Divide. Her essays have appeared in the Atlantic, The Washington Post, TriQuarterly, Tablet, Entropy, the Forward, Stars and Stripes, and other publications. Ruth completed a B.Sc. in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and an M.A. in Germany history, magna cum laude, from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She penned the children’s book, All of this Country is Called Jerusalem. Her website is http://laughthroughbreastcancer.com.
