R.L. Maizes is a writer based in Colorado. Her short stories have been published or are forthcoming in Witness, The Barcelona Review, Blackbird, Slice, The MacGuffin, and other literary magazines. Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Spirituality & Health, and other national publications. She is currently working on a collection of short stories.
