Rachel Ansong

Spring 2016 Session

Rachel Ansong, a Ghanaian artist and a 2015 BRIO (Bronx Recognizes its Own) poetry winner, uses writing, dance, and music to express her culture and to explore the essence of home. Currently a student at Stony Brook Southampton’s MFA program, Rachel is working on several creative projects that investigate identity displacement of African immigrants in the United States and on the continent.
